    Mentoring Advanced Programs for Students 


The MAPS program brings together professionals from local business to volunteer their time to mentor high school students pursuing advanced placement coursework. This program not only helps the students to succeed in their rigorous coursework, but also provides them with real world exposure to how the concepts are utilized in the workplace.
   

nLIGHT Supports Race for the Cure for 9th Year


To support family members who have suffered from breast cancer, the nLIGHT team has participated in race for the cure every year since the company was founded in 2000. 

On Saturday Sept 20th,  2009, the nLIGHT team participated in the SW Washington / Portland Race for the Cure which is one of the largest Race for the Cure West of the Mississippi in Portland.  In addition, nLIGHT was recognized as one of the top-100 sponsors based on donations raised in support of the cause.
 
 

 
   
nLIGHT Supports Summer Internship Program


During 2009, nLIGHT participated in the SW Washington Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).   The goal of the program was to provide real-world work experience for individuals ranging from the age 18-24.  

nLIGHT mentored five interns over a six week period  in a variety of jobs ranging from Administrative, Quality, Materials Handling, Lean Manufacturing, Finance and Human Resources.
